Professional Grade Copper Nickel (Kunifer) Brake Pipe

Every mechanic knows the hassle of replacing corroded brake lines. While standard copper pipe is easy to bend, it lacks the structural integrity required for long-term peace of mind, especially on vehicles running modern, high-pressure ABS systems. That’s where Copper Nickel (commonly known as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp) comes in. It represents the industry benchmark for brake line fabrication, offering the perfect balance between workability and brute strength.

Unlike standard copper, which can work-harden and become brittle under constant chassis vibration, Kunifer features a significantly higher fatigue strength. This prevents the line from cracking near the unions or securing clips over time. More importantly for vehicles facing harsh UK winters, the nickel content provides superior resistance to road salt, grime, and moisture. When you fit a Kunifer line, you’re installing a component designed to outlast the vehicle itself, ensuring a clean MOT pass for years to come.

On the workbench, this pipe behaves exactly how you need it to. It bends smoothly without kinking—provided you use a decent pipe bender—and takes a clean, precise DIN or SAE double flare without splitting. It’s stiff enough to hold its shape along the chassis run but forgiving enough to route through tight engine bays and over rear subframes. If you take pride in neat, professional brake plumbing, this is the only material you should be reaching for.

Please note: The physical appearance and coil wrapping of the pipe may differ slightly from the image shown, but the material specification remains strictly to professional garage standards.
