Small Bending Tool 3/16"

Take the Struggle Out of Tight Brake Line Bends

Fabricating brake lines is a standard workshop task, but getting neat, tight-radius bends without kinking the pipe is notoriously difficult—especially when you're working in cramped spaces under a wheel arch or along the chassis. Kinked lines restrict fluid flow, look unprofessional, and are an instant MOT fail. This compact, handheld bending tool is engineered to deliver precise, ultra-tight radius bends on standard 3/16" tubing without collapsing the pipe wall.

Built for Modern Materials: Copper, Kunifer, and Steel

While traditional copper pipe is soft and forgiving, most professional jobs now demand Copper Nickel (commonly known as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp) or steel due to their superior fatigue strength and high resistance to road salt and corrosion. The trade-off is that Kunifer and steel are significantly stiffer and much harder to bend cleanly by hand. This tool provides the mechanical advantage required to form smooth, consistent curves in all three materials, ensuring your lines route perfectly around chassis rails and brackets.

Workshop-Ready Design

Unlike bulky bench-mounted benders, this tool's small footprint allows you to make adjustments and final bends directly on the vehicle. It is a straightforward, rugged addition to any technician's brake servicing kit, designed to save time and prevent wasted material from failed bends.

  • Perfect for Tight Spaces: Compact, handheld design allows for on-vehicle adjustments where clearances are tight.
  • Multi-Material Capability: Easily forms 3/16" copper, copper-nickel (Kunifer), and steel tubing.
  • Anti-Kink Geometry: Supports the tube wall throughout the bend to prevent flattening and flow restriction.
  • Professional Preparation: For the best results, always ensure the tube is cleanly cut and prepped using a proper deburring tool (such as the 000165 deburrer) before bending and flaring.

This small hand held bending tool allows neat and very tight radius bends. The tool is designed for use on 3/16 Copper, Copper Nickel or steel tubing.

Sold in a plastic blister pack.

It can also be used in conjunction with the 000165 deburring tool.

Copper pipes are more traditional and easier to work with however Copper Nickel (aka CuNI, Kunifer, cupro-nickel or NiCopp) is more resistant to corrosion and has a higher fatigue strength.
