The Professional Choice for Brake Line Fabrication

When you are replacing corroded brake lines on the bench, you have a choice to make: standard copper or Copper Nickel (commonly known as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp). While standard copper is soft and easy to manipulate, it lacks the structural integrity required for long-term durability under high-pressure, high-vibration automotive environments. This Copper Nickel pipe is the industry standard for reliable, professional-grade brake line replacement.

Why Kunifer Beats Standard Copper

Copper Nickel offers significantly higher fatigue strength than pure copper. It resists work-hardening, meaning it won't become brittle and crack over time due to chassis flex, engine vibration, or road shock. More importantly for UK workshops dealing with wet climates and winter grit, the nickel content provides superior resistance to road salt, moisture, and chemical corrosion. If you want to install a brake line and know it will outlast the vehicle it’s fitted to, this is the material you need.

In the Workshop

While Kunifer is slightly stiffer to bend than pure copper, it still manipulates easily with a standard hand bender without kinking. It takes a flare exceptionally well—whether you are forming single or double flares, the material flows cleanly under the flaring tool without splitting, ensuring a reliable, leak-free seal against your brake union fittings. It is the ideal choice for MOT rust repairs, custom builds, and classic restorations where safety and longevity cannot be compromised.

Please note: The physical appearance of the pipe coil may vary slightly from the image shown, but the material specification and grade remain identical.
