When you're underneath a vehicle replacing rotted brake lines to get it through an MOT, you only want to do the job once. While standard copper pipe is incredibly easy to bend by hand, it lacks the structural integrity and fatigue resistance required for long-term peace of mind under high-pressure braking systems.

Copper-Nickel (commonly known in the trade as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp) is the industry standard for professional brake line fabrication. It offers the perfect balance of workability and durability, making it the go-to choice for workshops that don't cut corners.

Avoid cheap hand-held flaring kits, as they can slip on Kunifer. When bending, use a proper pipe-bending tool to achieve tight, kink-free radiuses without restricting brake fluid flow.
