The Professional Choice for Brake Line Fabrication

When you're replacing rotted brake lines on a vehicle that faces harsh UK road salt and damp winters, standard steel lines are a nightmare to route, and pure copper can sometimes lack the structural integrity required for high-pressure modern braking systems. This is where Copper Nickel—commonly known in the trade as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp—becomes the industry standard.

While standard copper pipe is softer and easier to manipulate, Kunifer offers significantly higher fatigue strength and superior resistance to work-hardening. This means it won't crack under the constant vibration of the chassis or the high-pressure cycling of an ABS pump. It is slightly stiffer to bend than pure copper, but it still takes a flare beautifully and won't kink easily when hand-forming tight bends around chassis rails.

Why Kunifer Beats Standard Copper and Steel:

  • Exceptional Corrosion Resistance: Unlike steel, it will not rust, and it offers far superior resistance to road salt and moisture than standard copper.
  • High Fatigue Strength: Engineered to withstand the high-pressure hydraulic cycles of modern braking systems without work-hardening or cracking over time.
  • Workshop Friendly: Strikes the perfect balance between the pliability of copper and the strength of steel. It flares cleanly with standard workshop flaring tools and holds its shape once bent.
  • Multi-Application: Ideal for fabricating brake lines, clutch lines, and fuel systems where long-term reliability is non-negotiable.

Please note: The physical appearance or surface finish of the pipe may differ slightly from the image shown depending on the production run, but the material specification and mechanical properties remain identical.
