While standard copper pipe is cheap and easy to bend, it lacks the structural integrity required for modern high-pressure braking systems and is prone to work-hardening and cracking under constant vibration. This Copper Nickel (commonly known as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp) tubing is the industry standard for professional-grade brake line fabrication.

Unlike OEM steel lines that rust out after a few salty UK winters, Copper Nickel offers superior corrosion resistance. It is an alloy specifically engineered to combine the rust-proof properties of copper with the high tensile strength and fatigue resistance of nickel. This makes it tough enough to handle the cycling pressures of ABS systems while remaining highly resistant to road salt, moisture, and grime.

Workshop Tips for Best Results:

To get neat, OEM-quality bends, we recommend using a handheld pipe bending tool rather than bending purely by hand, especially on tight radii. When flaring, ensure you deburr the inside of the cut pipe first; because Copper Nickel is tougher than standard copper, a clean cut and proper chamfer are essential for getting a leak-free flare that seats perfectly into your brake fittings.
