The Professional Choice for Brake Line Replacement

When you are underneath a vehicle replacing rotted-out brake lines, you only want to do the job once. While standard copper pipe is cheap and easy to bend, it lacks the structural integrity and long-term durability required for modern braking systems. Copper Nickel (commonly known as Kunifer, CuNi, or NiCopp) is the industry standard for professional, long-lasting brake line fabrication.

Why Kunifer Beats Standard Copper

Standard copper is soft, making it prone to work-hardening, kinking, and fatigue failure under high-pressure cycling. Copper Nickel alloy solves these issues by offering:

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: UK roads are brutal on undercarriages. The nickel content in this tubing creates a highly protective oxide layer, resisting road salt, moisture, and road grime far better than standard copper or steel.
  • High Fatigue Strength: Brake systems operate under immense pressure. Kunifer has a much higher tensile strength than pure copper, meaning it won't stretch, distort, or fatigue under heavy braking or engine vibration.
  • Excellent Workability: Despite its strength, it still flares beautifully (both SAE bubble and DIN double flares) and can be bent by hand or with a pipe bender without kinking.

In the Workshop

For any workshop or mechanic tackling brake system overhauls, keeping a coil of Kunifer on the rack is essential. It ensures MOT-compliant repairs that will likely outlast the vehicle itself. It is also highly recommended for fuel lines and clutch hydraulic lines where pressure and environmental exposure are constant factors.

Please note: The physical appearance of the pipe coil may vary slightly from the product image depending on manufacturing batches, but the material specification remains strictly to high-grade Copper Nickel.
