Brake Pipe Set Land Rover Series 1 86" RHD 1954 - 1956 (GB5592)

Take the Hassle Out of Brake Line Fabrication

Anyone who has spent an afternoon under a vehicle struggling with a hand-flaring tool, kinked lines, and seized fittings knows that fabricating brake pipes from scratch is a tedious, time-consuming chore. These vehicle-specific copper-nickel (Kunifer) brake pipe sets are designed to eliminate the guesswork and get the vehicle off the ramp and back on the road quickly.

Each pipe in the set is pre-cut to the exact length required for your specific vehicle, pre-flared, and fitted with solid brass unions. To save you from sorting through a tangled pile of tubing, every single line is clearly marked to indicate its correct location on the chassis. It is a straightforward, drop-in replacement that turns a frustrating job into a simple bolt-on task.

Why Kunifer Beats Standard Copper and Steel

While standard copper is soft and easy to bend, it lacks the fatigue strength required for long-term safety under high-pressure braking systems. Cheap steel lines, on the other hand, are a nightmare to bend and will inevitably rust out again in a few winters.

These sets are manufactured in Great Britain using premium copper-nickel tubing (also known as CuNi, Kunifer, or NiCopp). This material is the professional standard for a reason:

  • Superior Corrosion Resistance: Unlike steel, copper-nickel will not rust or degrade when exposed to road salt, moisture, and harsh weather. It is a permanent fix that will easily outlast the vehicle.
  • High Fatigue Strength: It offers significantly higher tensile strength and resistance to vibration-cracking than standard copper, ensuring the integrity of the braking system under extreme pressure.
  • Workability: Kunifer is pliable enough to route through tight chassis legs and around suspension components without kinking, yet rigid enough to hold its shape neatly once secured in the pipe clips.

Built for the Professional Workshop

Every tube in these sets is 100% electrically and pressure tested to conform to the highest safety standards, ensuring reliable performance straight out of the box. The inclusion of solid brass unions is another major benefit for the working mechanic; unlike steel fittings, brass will not seize into calipers, wheel cylinders, or flexi-hose brackets, making future brake maintenance hassle-free.

Whether you are replacing a single corroded line to pass an MOT or carrying out a full nut-and-bolt classic restoration, these pre-formed, labeled Kunifer sets are the most efficient way to install a safe, permanent, and professional-grade braking system.

Easily fitted. Will not rust.

Our brake pipe sets are assembled with pride for your specific vehicle. Each pipe is cut to the correct length, fitted with solid brass unions and marked clearly to indicate the correct location on the vehicle.

We use only top quality copper nickel tubing manufactured in Great Britain specifically for braking systems. All tubing is 100% electrically and pressure tested and conforms to the highest standards.

Copper pipes are more traditional and easier to work with however Copper Nickel (aka CuNI, Kunifer, cupro-nickel or NiCopp) is more resistant to corrosion and has a higher fatigue strength.

We can manufacture pipes to your exact specifications.
