Brake Pipe Set Land Rover Series 1 80" RHD 1948 - 1958 (GB5600)
Stop Wasting Ramp Time Flaring Brake Pipes
Any mechanic knows that fabricating brake lines from scratch is a massive time sink. Measuring, cutting, flaring, and hunting around for the correct fittings takes up valuable time that could be spent turning other jobs. These vehicle-specific copper-nickel brake pipe sets take the hassle out of a tedious job. Every pipe in the kit is cut to the exact length required, fitted with high-quality solid brass unions, and clearly labelled so you know exactly where it goes on the chassis. All you need to do is bend them to shape and install.
While standard copper is easy to work with, it lacks the fatigue strength required for long-term durability and can work-harden and crack under constant chassis vibration. This kit uses British-manufactured copper-nickel (commonly known as Kunifer or NiCopp) tubing. It offers the ultimate spec for brake lines: it is highly resistant to road salt corrosion, handles high system pressures easily, and has a much higher fatigue strength than standard copper. Combined with solid brass unions, you can say goodbye to seized fittings during future maintenance.
Key Workshop Benefits:
Pre-Cut & Labelled: No measuring or guessing. Each pipe is cut to the correct length and clearly marked for its specific location on the vehicle.
Kunifer Tubing: British-made copper-nickel tubing that is 100% pressure and electrically tested. Superior fatigue strength and corrosion resistance compared to standard copper.
Solid Brass Unions: Eliminates the common headache of steel fittings seizing in calipers, wheel cylinders, or flexi-hose brackets.
Professional Finish: Supple enough to shape cleanly, holding its form once bent for a neat, factory-looking installation.
Mechanic's Tip: When routing these lines, use a proper hand-held pipe bender for the tightest radiuses to avoid kinking. Because Kunifer is slightly stiffer than pure copper, it holds its shape beautifully once routed, keeping the lines securely in their plastic mounting clips and clear of moving suspension components.
Easily fitted. Will not rust.
Our brake pipe sets are assembled with pride for your specific vehicle. Each pipe is cut to the correct length, fitted with solid brass unions and marked clearly to indicate the correct location on the vehicle.
We use only top quality copper nickel tubing manufactured in Great Britain specifically for braking systems. All tubing is 100% electrically and pressure tested and conforms to the highest standards.
Pre-formed Reservoir, fuel, oil inlet/outlet pipes available for this vehicle as well.
Copper pipes are more traditional and easier to work with however Copper Nickel (aka CuNI, Kunifer, cupro-nickel or NiCopp) is more resistant to corrosion and has a higher fatigue strength.
We can manufacture pipes to your exact specifications.
