Cheap, hand-held screw-type flaring tools have their place for quick under-car repairs, but for serious workshop throughput, they are too slow and prone to pipe slippage. The OAKES 000103 Automatic Flaring Tool is engineered specifically to solve this bottleneck, producing perfect, consistent flares in under 10 seconds.

The standout feature of this tool is its unique automatic mechanism. It automatically aligns, clamps, and releases the pipe in one smooth action. This completely removes the guesswork of setting the pipe height in the die, preventing split flares or lopsided shoulders. Built with a heavy-duty steel body, this tool is designed to be bolted directly to your workbench using the supplied hardware, providing a rock-solid platform. If bench space is tight, it can also be clamped securely in a standard workshop vice.

This kit comes equipped to handle 3/16" and 1/4" SAE flares—the most common sizes found on automotive brake systems. While standard copper pipe is easy enough to flare, modern workshops frequently use Copper Nickel (Kunifer/NiCopp) for its superior corrosion resistance and fatigue strength. Kunifer is significantly harder to work with, but the mechanical leverage and robust clamping power of the OAKES 000103 handle it without breaking a sweat or slipping.

For specialist workshops, the tool's capability can be expanded. By pairing it with the optional ADAPTA kit, you can produce the specific high-pressure flares required for Citroën and Rolls-Royce hydraulic systems. Additional punch and clamp sets are also available to cover pipe sizes from 5/16" to 1/2" and metric sizes from 3.5mm to 12mm.

The 000103 Automatic Flaring Tool is the fastest in our range. This tool will perform best when bolted down to a bench with the bolts supplied, but still can be used in a vice. The tool features a unique method for automatically lining up, clamping and releasing the flared pipe. Capable of producing pipes in less than 10 seconds, this tool will appeal to the serious pipe manufacturer. In addition to the standard SAE and DIN flares, the Automatic can be used to make the special flares used by Citroen and Rolls-Royce when combined with the ADAPTA kit. Additional clamp and punch sets are available from 5/16" to 1/2" and 3.5mm to 12mm.
